It is incredible. Man is an animal, a social animal. His behaviour at times is unbelievable.
A man in his late sixties had all along nurtured an animosity against his brother more so against the brother's family. What for is the question? and is what I am going to talk about.
Well, this man was born with certain deformities. His voice is cracked and he has a nervous disability well expressed in his action of the neck. he does such a quixotic moves with his neck and it looks awkward. This man is not intelligent too. I do not mean that he is like Solomon the wise, but could not master the basic in learning. His brother, on the other hand, has charming looks and is again not very brilliant but an average student in his school and college. He managed to pass without difficulty. Never once, he came in flying colours. Perhaps it is the destiny of the family where learning is difficult.This is one of the cause or could I call it a few causes for the brothers not getting on well.
The brother in question got married to an educated girl from a very well to do family while the protagonist was married to an equally retarded girl from a family of moderate means. Another valid cause for the jealousy.
As it happens the brother in the course of years begot three sons. All the three are extremely good looking
smart and are now well placed. While the other's children are not up to that level. Like father they too did not fare well in their education, through push and pull graduated. So the reasons for prejudice being well established his hostility sustains through all these years.
Right from birth to the age of 68 the man holds a grudge against his brother. At times, he crosses his place and does harm to his sibling. The family of the brother for no reason whatsoever has undergone a bad phase in life not on one occasion but on several incidents. Yet they have risen from them with more confidence and hold the torch high.
It is certain the sufferings the family underwent and the difficulties they had to face would fall upon this old man with such velocity that he would not be able to bear. His crumble and collapse are not far.
